On 31st May 2024, Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha organized an event to observe World No Tobacco Day 2024, aligning with this year’s theme:
“Stop Tobacco Industry Interference, Protect Children”.
As part of the observance, a leaflet campaign was conducted at Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office premises and Meherpur Sadar Upazila Parishad premises, advocating for the increase in tobacco prices and taxes in the upcoming budget to improve public health.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the harmful influence of the tobacco industry and the urgent need to protect children from its impact. Through such efforts, Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha continues its commitment to promoting a tobacco-free society and safeguarding public health.
