On September 9, 2024, a scholarship distribution ceremony was held under the patronage of Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, with funding from the Bangladesh NGO Foundation. The event took place at the organization’s headquarters, aiming to support underprivileged and meritorious students in their educational journey.
The ceremony was presided over by Munshi Jahangir Zinnat. The chief guest, Mr. Md. Anisur Rahman, Upazila Social Services Officer, Meherpur Sadar, graced the event with his presence. Additionally, Munshi A.H.M. Rashedul Haque, Assistant Professor at Meherpur Government College, was also present.
A total of 33 talented and financially disadvantaged students received scholarships. Each recipient was awarded 6,000 BDT under this initiative. The event saw the active participation of students and their guardians, emphasizing the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty.
Mr. Moinul Alam, Executive Director of Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, delivered the welcome speech, while Mr. Arif Hossain, the organization’s Program Officer, conducted the event.
