Strengthening Livelihood Security of Climate Change Vulnerable People:

The negative impacts of climate change make Bangladesh one of the most vulnerable countries in the world. The increased frequency of floods, droughts, tidal surges and cyclones caused extensive economic damage and impacted the livelihoods of the poor and marginal population who have been living in Bangladesh.

Meherpur district is one of the most vulnerable areas in the country due to the bad impact of climate change. The environment of the area becoming unbearable and a threat to the human being and the ecology. For a sustainable sound environment SUBAH has taken a forestation program and in the meanwhile, it created a 20 km green garden by planting different timber, fruit bearing and medicinal trees.

The government of Bangladesh has given the Prime Minister’s National Award for Planting to SUBAH.
